WHAT I DO

Individual Therapy

Most of the work I do is with individuals of all ages. My approach is relationally-based- I enjoy getting to know people's life stories and working together to figure out what's getting in the way of living the life they want. I can help you learn new skills to manage anxiety, improve your mood, understand and express your feelings, and solve problems.

Kids Ages 5-10

My work with children is play-based with a focus on helping parents understand what drives kids' behaviors, and teaching parents and kids new skills to manage underlying needs and make positive changes.  Currently, I only see younger children in person in my Wilmington office.

Tweens and Teens

I provide services for children aged 12 and above, offering both telehealth and in-person sessions at my office in Wilmington. My approach to working with older kids is tailored to address their unique developmental needs, including both talk therapy and activity-based skill building approaches.

Adults

I work with adults across the lifespan, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs and experiences that arise at different stages of life. Whether addressing life transitions, managing stressors, or navigating complex emotions, my approach is relationally based and focuses on developing insight and learning new tools.

Couples and Families

Sometimes, people come to see me because they want to work on improving their relationships with significant people in their lives. I appreciate the opportunity to join with people in their relationships to help them understand and shift patterns of interaction that get in the way of the kinds of connections they want.

Couples

My work with couples is informed by the work of John and Julie Gottman, a research-based couples therapy approach that helps partners enhance communication, manage conflict, and strengthen their emotional connection. My goal is to help couples to uncover the barriers to having the relationship they want, and to work together to create a path forward.

Families

A family is a system- a blend of connected individuals each bringing their own unique style and needs to the mix. My work with families is focused on helping to understand the complexities of these dynamics so that each member can thrive and grow and the system can function at its best.

*AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT INSURANCE:
Typically, insurance companies cover services they deem "medically necessary." For couples or family therapy, the billing process can be a bit different. Let's have a conversation about what this means and how we can navigate it together.
